First Blog

OK, so Kaylei, Lexi and Paige already have a blog, so I am feeling pretty lame that my kids have a blog and I do not. But for the record I did start my blog over a month ago, but I was waiting for something really cool to blog about, but realized that I'm missing the most important things that happen daily with my kids. So after having my user name, new Gmail account and password emailed to me because I have already forgotten them I think I am officially ready to blog. Although when I hear the word blog I always think of "The Office" episode when Ryan sets up a fake blog for Creed. Speaking of "The Office" both Christian and I love "The Office" and want to host a party for the new season, mark it on your calenders all you "Office" fans!!!

I'm just going to give a short recap of whats been happening this summer. . .

We went to Thanksgiving Point Farm when my brother Shawn and his family came to visit. The kids loved the pony ride, they also got to milk a cow and feed a calf.

Every Monday night Thanksgiving Point gardens have a family night activity, Last week they had a jello-fight, my kids loved it until the grass kept sticking to them (break down equation of jello; sugar + water + grass = complaining kids)

We did have a fun 4th of July. We decided to get up early 6:00am and catch the hot air balloon release in Provo. I must admit I was actually excited, we missed it last year because we slept in, but this year I was determined to make it. We loaded up all the kids and got there just in time to see them take off. I had envisioned hundreds of hot air balloons taking off at the same time. So you can imagine the reality check when we got there and there were about 10 balloons taking off. If you do the math the effect is not quite the same, but the kids thought it was really cool and had a good time. That night Traverse Mountain hosted a barbecue and movie "Horton Hears a Who" at our neighborhood park.
